Unhappy 6.1.3/6.1.4 - Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 remote no workie

Unsure if this is a 6.1.x beta problem, Hauppauge problem, or "me" problem.

My 150 died after only a week. And Fry's did not have any for exchange, saying that Hauppauge has recalled all the 150's. So I picked up the 1600.

I dowloaded the latest 1600 driver package, ran the hwclear and rebooted, reinstalled the 1600 drivers & utils, and confirmed the Hauppauge remote worked in WinTV (what a horrible app, btw). IR Blaster also works.

Backed up the irremote.ini, downloaded and installed 6.1.4, and verified SageTV irremote.ini was in place. Go into SageTV and verify Hauppauge 45 button remote is selected.

Remote no workie. If I put back the Hauppauge irremote.ini file, the remote works fine in WinTV. If I use the SageTV irremote.ini file, the remote doesn't work at all.

Here are the Hauppauge irremote.ini and SageTV 6.1.4 irremote.ini files, if this helps.

It looks like you deleted the original Hauppauge irremote.ini file before installing SageTV, so it started from nothing and added just the sections for SageTV. But, those parts have to be added to the original ini file, or it won't work at all.

Does it matter where? I appended the SageTV section to the bottom, closed & restarted the IR app, and then opened SageTV, but still no joy.

Time to hook up my trusty Streamzap remote..

Since you appended the lines, you probably didn't add the [Applications] lines to that existing section.
