100% CPU utilization ATI Theatre 550

I'm experiencing 100% cpu utilization by SageTV while watching certain recorded programs. When I get back to the menu and no playback is happening, SageTV goes back to ~0% utlization. Any idea what might cause this?

I have the latest drivers for my tuner card and video card.

My specs:
GeForce 8800 GTS
ATI Theatre 550 tuner
XP SP2
P4 2.8 GHz
400 GB Seagate Barracuda
