Monterrey Mexico EPG
Hi Team... this should be my first question here... and it is related to Mexico EPG. Some time ao I downloaded the Beta Verison of Windows Vista, and while setting it up I noticed that my cable provider for Mexico was part of the EPG available. I was not cautious enough to try and explore the Vista configuration files and try to get where is Vista getting the EPG info from.
Now, I know that zap2it contains a couple of codes for Mexico City's analog and digital cable information but again I can not find the correct provider for my city. (Cablevision Monterrey). So... here are my two questions: 1.- Does someone currently using Vista can take a look and figure it out who's Vista EPG rovider and, try to point me in the right direction on how to integrate that info into SAGETV? 2.- If that is not possible (or if it is easier), try to get the correct "zip code" in labs.zap2it.com for my provider??? Thank you for your help JoEnGr |

I would also be interested in SageTV getting into some sort of agreement to support mexican users. I know that zap2it has the mexican data. We just need that Frey requests it for the Mexican market. It should not be that expensive for frey to get, and it would be a plus to a lot of users I know that can not use there SageTv to their full potential.

You might be interested in this email I just received from Schedules Direct. As you may know, they are offering a solution for the large MythTV community who depended on Zap2It Labs. They will also support XMLTV. (One of their co-founders, Robert Eden, is the developer of tv_grab_na_dd. I guess it is he signing the email.)
The two zip codes he mentions are 954MEXI and 101VENE, which I requested earlier. Until we can get the data directly from SageTV, my advice is to get Stéphane's XMLTV Import tool so you can easily change channel numbers and offset times and import them to Sage. You can start now with Zap2it and, judging by this email, move over to SD when they shutdown. Good Luck, Gabriel ---------- Original message ---------- From: xxxxx@schedulesdirect(DOT)org Date: Aug 15, 2007 5:42 PM Subject: Re: Web -> tv_grab_na_dd can get some non US/Canada listings To: Gabriel Good news... I've just heard we *will* have some non US/Canada listings just like Z2L did. Keep an eye on the FAQ for a list, but both of those zips are on it. Robert |

Sorry, I did not realize that Schedules Direct data cannot be used on commercial applications (like SageTV), even if provided through an Open Source plugin (XMLTV), so please disregard this.
