HD stutter still here

I'm hoping this release is done right and they fix the HD stutter completely. It's still here, it needs to go away. I noticed the readme didn't say the problem was fixed, and the scarry part is that they don't list it as a problem either.

I had my first BSOD today since buying a new system (2 months ago) on ntfs.sys while Sage 6.1.3 was recording.

I'm running diags on the disk, but haven't found anything yet, and nothing in the system logs...

I don't get this one. I don't see a way to have Sage look for RSS enclosures. I'd really like that feature, but I don't see it. I'd subscribe to some feeds, like DL.TV if I could.

It's part of the Studio API.

Seems like the hanging after coming out of standby issue is fixed! Initially it appears frozen like it used to, but then it automatically "reloads" itself. Yes, thank you!

its used for Google/YouTube.

My RSS reader plugin allows you to subscribe to custom RSS feeds, and view/listen to podcasts.

DVB-S support is being worked on. Some functionality already exists.

Sorry for the delay on this one.
This isn't just about R5000-HD users anymore. We need the ability vto do HD h.264 playback so we can have HD-DVD support in Sage!

Also, since you are working on this and that so many of us use Nvidia cards with purevideo HD support in them, I sure would hope the H.264 codec you are using has hooks for purevideo HD acceleration. It makes a big difference in PowerDVD etc...

Thanks,
Mike

At this point, I'm close to concluding that 6.0 was better at rendering than 6.1 (after much tweaking and hair pulling). I had virtual stutter free prior to upgrading. Now, both of my clients are stuttering, one a little bit and one a lot, on HDTV. Also, one of the clients can't play back certain TS files at all.

Ugh. Back to the drawing board. For those who experienced an improvement in stuttering with 6.1, I'm happy for you.

Placeshifter?

After 'upgrading' from 6.0.18 to 6.1.3, I find that I cannot logon with Placeshifter (also 6.1.3). I get the logon screen with no background, and ghost characters. If I enter invalid logon info, I get the standard "3 retires" error. If I enter valid logon info, the focus returns to the USERNAME box (with the ghost of the first logon name, but recognized as blank).
Did I miss something in setting this up?
::update :: I added a new placeshifter user and was able to login, but the ghosting continues....

Did you move the STV folder? Or are you using a STV that is not in the STVs\SAGETV3\ folder?

Fixed it. Nothing got moved, but I had to select a new background image (the same as what was listed in sageClient.Properties) again and things started working.
Thanks.

Thumbs down New Logo

Frankly, I like the existing logo way better than the new one. It looks more hi-tech.

Cheers,
Rob

Question

Is anyone else having trouble downloading the SageTV windows installer? I keep getting to 75% but can't go any further. I have even tried several different browsers on different computers.

Is there a FTP site I can try instead?

Yes. I get that far and it stops as well.

I think what he's saying is that you've been elected the "anti-beta-tester." Everything you like in the application must go.

No, actually I read it that they were going for a less geeky image.
