Albums - Call Me Crazy......

Perhaps I'm missing something here - I've never used Sage much for MP3 playback. I decided it was time to get it set up.

I might be overlooking something, but when I go to Albums, there appears to be no option to play the album. I can add it to a playlist, but I don't think I should need to create a playlist to play by album (sure a temporary playlist would have to be created for sage to play the album - but I - or more importantly my Wife - don't need to know about it)

The point is, I have these nice album cover graphics and would like to just select one and play it. Am I missing something here????

Upgrade to V6, or use SageMC for V5

in Sage v6, the Music library has been completely overhauled to be more useable and functional than v5 and earlier.

I've been kind of on the fence about V6. I have seen some complaints about stuttering HD playback, and have only recently been able to get my HD playing nicely.

I'm also concerned about overhead - my client machine isn't the greatest.

I've been tempted by SageMC, but there's the wife factor to consider. I don't know if I can overcome the coefficent of flack.

I had no issues with v6 HD playback. I use FSE with the nvidia plugin (and didn't touch my settings in the upgrade). It works awesome. I actually found that the FSE works better in v6. For example. In version 5 if I lost focus some times I would get stutery playback and closing Sage wouldn't always fix it, I would have to restart windows. With version 6 just a Sage close fixes it every time.

The way the media library is a big improvement in v6.

That's just my two cents.

I tried FSE on my setup, but my remote quits working.
It's the Hauppauge remote. Does your's work alright when not in FSE?
