I've seen this happen a few times before (not with Sage, however) and what I've done in the past to fix it is to go into Device Manager and "remove" the device giving you trouble - and then reboot the computer. This will allow Windows to 're-detect' your (new - it thinks) drive and reset it's drivers accordingly.
