Watching a show from another computer

I have SageTV on my HTPC and I would like to be able to access the files from another computer by sharing the directory.

I can do this with pre-recorded shows with WMP9 but I can't do it with shows that are still being recorded. I get a "File in Use" message (or something to that affect). Is there a way to get around this without buying the Sage Client?

For that, you will need to buy the SageTV Client (I know you said that you didn't want to purchase it). I can attest to the fact that it works great. I don't know of any other solution.
