Interrupts/Sec playing HD on Client

I've been getting choppy playback on my SageTVClient when playing HD recordings.

I did a little digging around and looked at the performance counters. I see that the Interrupts/Sec when not playing HD is around 4,000 on one virtual CPU of my 3.2GHz Hyperthreaded P4 but when I play the HD file it shoots up to over 16,000. SD playback lifts the interrupts to around 8,000.

What kind of figures are you guys seeing?
