If you can, use a 2.6.17 or 2.6.16 kernel with the corresponding ivtv version and things should work fine.

Thanks, Demo.

The last thing I feel like doing is troubleshooting something at home when I paid $80

thanks Demo, I installed Fedora core 4, and I'm fine now. The kernel is 2.6.17 - I can now change channels.

Hmm. I also got it to work with Fedora Core 4.
Now have I upgraded to Core 5 but the kernel here, 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5, does not seem to like Ivtv.
Ivtv says it is a 2.6.16 kernel in disguise but when I say "make" to the 0.6.6 driver, it fails.
Any clue of how to change the kernel to 2.6.16 or better 2.6.17 ?
Or what is the timeframe of getting sage to work with (FC 6) 2.6.18 ?

Regards:
Michael

Timeframe on supporting current kernels would be best.

This issue impacts every new install now.

The tuning problem will be addressed soon for ivtv versions greater than 0.7

FYI: ATRPMs.net nolonger supports fedora core 4. so getting updates just got a little harder.

I have uploaded a test version of the new library which supports both the old and new interface.

libIVTVCapture.so

Let me know your results if you try it.

Thanks
