RF Modulator recommendation please

anyone have a good experience with a $75 or so single-channel RF modulator for the cable channels? Prefer s-video in and stereo audio.

Is a filter necessary to insert the channel on to my cable (downstream of my amp)?

I see that some have a so-called built-in filter (to attenuate adjacent channel interference from the modulator, I think). I would try for one blank channel adjacent to the inserted channel.

I only use one to calibrate my PVR500's RF input using a calibration disk from a DVD player...Wal-Mart for about $25. It has S-Video. What are you using it for?

I'm looking for a digital modulator for the higher cable channels.

CE Labs is one manufacturer

and Channel Master

Smarthome.com has a number of brands.

I want to distribute the s-video and audio from the Sage Server PC to the TVs in the house via a given channel. I already have IR via the TV coax so the remotes will get hauled back to where the sage server's tuner is.
