SAGE Opens and then closes
My copy of SageTV has been running fine until I recently upgraded my NVIDIA Decoder from a trial to a registered version. The program will now open with a black box and them immediately close. I uninstalled the NVIDIA decoders but it didn't help the problem. I can tell from the error log file that the problem lies somewhere with the Java software. This seems to be a not to uncommon problem. Lots of times when I make a seemly minor change the program will stop working in some way. Unfortunately this time the program doesn't work at all. Any help would be appreciated. I have no idea how to troubleshoot this problem.I did find that if I replace the SAGE file with an old one I can get the interface to come up once but once I close the program in won't open agian. I am spending way to much time getting this software to work.

Hmmm, I just started having a similar problem yesterday. I have a similar error file from when I think it started happening. I reinstalled Sage, Java, DirectX and then it would not even show the splash screen at all before locking up and rebooting the computer. I tried a full uninstall and reinstall with no success so now I am in the painful process of reformatting, reinstalling windows, all the apps.... It took me years to get it how I wanted, now this! I have recently gone from trial to retail, but not on my server. I had sent in a help request, but the WAF and KAF are forcing me to take immediate action.

You could try turning on debug logging to see if the log file contains any info that could help tech supportdeterimne what is happening.
