We fixed this today. It's in the next beta which will be out tomorrow. Do NOT use the files that were posted on this thread earlier (I've removed the link to prevent others from using it; if you already did, then just uninstall/reinstall SageTV to fix the files).

Good stuff. FYI (too late for your warning), I installed the debug files and it seems to work great.

Question for you Jeff - do you feel that there might be a way that Sage might be able to be modified to allow for two (or more) DualTV cards? I always thought that this was driver-related and so was in nVidia's court, but then I thought the same with this color adjustments issue until a couple of hours ago.

Andy.

I will answer your question for Jeff: NVIDIA’s DualTV bug is still there, and we just made a work around fix here. Kricker’s downalod is a test file in which there are problems, please use next build release for safety.
PS: the bug has been forwarded to NVIDIA.

This is pretty sweet news. Another reason why have chosen SageTV over all others: SUPPORT!

I was going to post this in the feature request section, however it greatly deals with this topic, so, I was pondering about SageTV having an option (toggle) to show a 'histogram' during the color calibration screen.

This would make it so super insanely easy and awesome... as I ~hate~ installing Dscaler to use that histogram. Plus, this being a problem with nvidias DualTV, that SageTV now has a somewhat workaround for... this workaround wont work in Dscaler to use the histogram calibration tool.

Just a thought. No expectations... but man oh man would it be a sweet feature for SageTV.

I forgot saying it’s Kricker’s overwhelming tests gave us tips to find a fix for DualTV bug. Thanks Kricker!

I just run a calibration DVD through an RF modulator...not perfect, but it's close enough.

I thought about doing that, but I have 2 hauppauge cards, one capturing an analog cable source (coax), and the other a digital cable STB source (composite). The problem is that both look very different, so using the same RF modulated DVD signal my not give a true representation. But as you say, it may be close enough....

Could you guys post the values you used when you fine tuned the settings? I do not have an RF modulator or a DVD to tune the settings, however, I have tuned my display and I am curious if my settings are close or not. The PQ looks a bit blurry to me and my Sharpness setting is at 0 so I am curious if you had to change that.

Thanks.

I am not sure if the sharpness does anything at all. I know it did not for the hauppauge card. I 'll tell you most of my settings are close to neutral at 128..some a bit hgher some a bit lower. That being said I am sure my video card and TV are different than yours (and I know my eyes are) so it really wont matter too much. Color settings are way to subjective...but I do understand the need to know if you feel you are close or not.

The sharpness setting definitely changes the image. I verified this by looking at text on C-SPAN and changing between 0 and 200. I still feel that my image is really blurry. If I compare the image between my Vbox digital and the NVIDIA DualTV the PQ isn't even remotely close for the same channels. I will get a few screenshots up later just so you can see how much of a difference there is.
