Changed domain, Sage got amnesia?

My home network uses an NT domain, I built a new server yesterday that created a new domain.

On my Sage PC, I used MS's "File and settings transfer wizard" to save the settings from the old domain profile. Then I joined the machine to the new domain, and used the wizard to restore the settings.

I was using Sage service, I updated its settings to log into the new domain, it starts fine.

Then I run Sage, and it says I've got no recordings and nothing scheduled to record!

The recordings are stored in a local folder w/no special security settings. I've verified the recordings are physically present - all 150 gigs of them!

Tried running without Sage service, same result.

Wiz.bin doesn't look empty, it's ~17 megabytes. There's a wiz.bak file dated yesterday (slightly smaller), I tried replacing .bin with .bak, Sage behaved the same.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

So did the machine name change? Did you use UNC's paths? If you did those are probably different now from your original paths.

Machine name didn't change, only its domain membership.

I use UNC paths for imported videos which as expected don't work. However all programs recorded on the machine are stored on its C drive.

I can easily see where the files & settings transfer wizard might have munged some registry settings, but Sage doesn't keep its settings in the registry, does it? Or does it... maybe I'll check and see if the setting for the recording folder location got eaten?

Have you checked that the folder security is set to allow whatever user is running the Sage service to access the appropriate folders?

Andy.

I'm glad you brought this up.... I am installing a domain/active directory this week.
