Slow Response with Intervideo Codec/DXVA

Experimenting with settings again. Wonder if anyone else has noticed this :
When using the Intervideo drivers and applying the registry "hack" to enable hardwarde accelleration, I have noticed 2 things....wonderfull picture quality and slow response time.
what I mean by this is, it will take maybe 10 seconds or more to get a menu, even longer to get a live TV screen or change channel, when I check, I see that Sage is way, way behind the live feed. I had previously posted this problem but I had not connected the codec to the issue. I was using the PowerDVD codec and thought the issue had gone away. Repeated tests using the PowerDVD codec showed a delay between live feed and SageTV display of less than a second.
Now, the first thing I thought was the driver is causing more proccessor usage, this is what it acts like, but this does not seem to be the case, the system is regularly reporting 1-3% cpu usage with Sage Running.
One of the reasons I reverted back to the intervideo drivers with the hack was so I could enable DXVA, I have been unable to get PowerDVD 5 to recognize DXVA in the PowerDVD program, so I figured the likelyhood of Sage recognizing it in the Codec was slim. I am wondering if the DXVA could have something to do with it.
Anyway...just currious if anyone else has experienced this, or trouble getting DXVA in use.

I noticed this too with certain combinations of versions of the Intervideo codec from hauppauge and drivers from ATI. I don't use that codec any more, but I have tried it with the newer Intervidoe codecs from Hauppauge and recent ATI drivers and the delay in video initialization was no there.
