DD 5.1 mapping wrong
I'm hoping this is something simple that I've overlooked. When playing back DD 5.1 encoded HDTV content it appears the Sage software is mixing up the audio channels. I get center channel/dialog coming from both the center, and the rear speakers. In fact, it's in the R and L front as well. A check of the soundcard indicates that the proper channels are being sent the proper signals using test signals, but when watching live or recorded content from Sage, the channels are screwed.
Any ideas? Thanks. |

Sage doesn't do anything with the audio, sounds like a decoder issue, which one are you using?

TIA for any help, this has been driving me nuts, and I'm sure it's something simple, but this is my first foray into an HTPC setup, and although I've been around PCs for years, a lot of this is new to me. |

So essentially, if it works right in WMP, then make sure Sage is using the same codec, renderer, etc. ? |

Theoretically, yes.

That was it. In the AC3Filter menu in WMP it was set to 2.0 sound, changed it to 3+2+SW and it seems everything sounds right now in Sage. Much thanks!!

Me too, now if I can just figure out the proper NVidia settings for the best video playback I'll be all set.
