Sage is supposed to record live TV. Basically a PVR can record to the disk or use a buffer. Both methods have pros and cons and Sage has chosen to record to the disk.

Sage will automatically clean up the live TV files when they're no longer needed. Once you're finished with live TV just press stop and Sage will take care of the rest.

but that's just it - I press stop and it does stop, but then starts up right away again. I know it's not spose to do that, but don't know how to make it stop.

Sounds like Sage is set to always display videos on menus. While at a menu right click and you should see something like video options. Select either "never show videos on menus" or "if video is playing". If right clicking doesn't get you the menu try a different menu. I believe the main menu in Sage will open the box you need.

Also check out neilm's Multi-function Stop plugin which adds some sorely needed functionality to Stop making it much, MUCH more useful and intuitive.
