Any warnings regarding Comcast's Digital On-Demand???

Presently I have Bellsouth and DirecTV. I'm considering a move to combine my voice, internet, and cable into one company, Comcast. I like my present setup, but DirecTV has gone up on the price and have move channels to the PLUS tier of service...less channels for higher price.

Are there any gotcha's that I need to know regarding SageTV and the use of Comcast's Digital On-Demand service?

If I have to give up SageTV, I won't be moving to Comcast.

In as much as it hurt to do it, I recently moved to Comcast for my internet, voice, and cable, due to the special they were offering.

So far I have been happy with it, but I am not currently using their digital STB with Sage, I am only recording their analog channels. I am in the process of getting a new DLP television, and when I do I will bite the bullet and look into integrating the STB. I am not really looking forward to that!

Hey MTuckman,
That's the special I'm looking into.

Did you have any troubles? How was the conversion? If you had a second chance, would you make the switch again?

So, you telling me that you're getting analog with the service and don't have to use the digital STB?

Yes, you will get both digital and analog. The Digital will only be available through their stinking digital box. Just plug the cable into your tv turner and you are set to go.

AFAIK, Sage can't access or control the PPV or VOD channels natively. I guess that you could manually control the STB to get the PPV or VOD started, and then get Sage to do a manual recording to save the program.
