Unable to find video capture device
I was very happy with Sage and my PVR250. Unfortunately I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows XP Pro, and then reload all of my programs on it. I've installed the latest Hauppage drivers, and WinTV works fine. Sage however can't find any video capture devices.
I've tried unistalling and reinstalling both the drivers and Sage with no luck. Under device manager the drivers appear to be working just fine. Any ideas? Andrew |

Never mind. I uninstalled Sage, then deleted manually the entire folder and reinstalled the program. Works now - there must have been some faulty sttings in one of the files left behind by the uninstall routine.

There was a line in your sage.properties file like "ignore_encoders" that had you Hauppauges listed. If you remove them from that line they will be found.
This happens if you start Sage before the drivers are correctly installed. Once Sage trys to connect to a bad driver it adds that device to that line. |
