Old Media Center Music Setup

Any way to make the Music option in the Media Center to look like V5? The new one is nice and all but I like the layout better in V5. I also prefer the alphabet on the right side of the screen to jump to that section of my music.

I also noticed that shuffle playback isn't working correctly. It will play the song I selected and end. V5 would play that song and randomly pick another one in my collection. I don't want to have to manually go through and enque them into a playlist for shuffle to work.

Nice touch on the song info for the visualization. I wanted that in the last version.

Nope, not w/o bringing those menus back into the v6 STV yourself. The old music menus were so limiting that they were completely removed from the v6 STV. It wasn't just the appearance of the music browser that was changed; a LOT of the code for handling all the various tags & so on was modified, so the old music menus no longer functioned properly.

Just type a letter or a number on the remote (uses NTE letters) to jump to the next entry for that letter. Better yet, check out Usage tips for new v6 features. You won't miss the list of letters on the old screen.

Shuffle works, it is just that ALL songs play by via a playlist now. You don't need to add things one by one for playback; try choosing another View for your music (Genre, perhaps) and play an entire large group on random.
