Studio n00b wants .my file support in latest beta

How hard would it be to mimic the .my file features of GermSage in the latest beta? I have been using GermSage since it started and even created hundreds of .my files manually. I have thousands of them for all my imports and do not wish to lose the feature but also wish to update. This has been a show stopper for me.
I installed the beta to check it out and GermSage stv screws some of the menu features up but the .my file features work fine. I would love to have the default STV with the .my file creation and be able for the Detail Info to read from it if present just like GermSage.
Would it be easy for a n00b of Studio to accomplish this? Or would someone here with more skills also like this functionality?

Studio n00b or programming n00b? Studio isn't too hard to learn for someone who's already comfortable with the fundamentals of programming (although there's still going to be a learning curve). But if you've never programmed before, Studio is probably not the easiest way to start.

Plus if your solution requires parsing external files, there's probably going to be some Java code involved as well (unless there's a prefab class library from GermSage that you can reuse).

I'm personally not familiar with GermSage or .my files so I can't offer much in the way of specific advice. But it seems like it ought to be possible to lift out chunks of code from GermSage that do more or less what you want, and adapt them to work in the standard STV -- assuming of course that you know enough about STV coding to recognize what you want when you see it, and can find the right places in the standard STV to paste it in. If you've never opened Studio or looked at STV code before, it's going to take you a while to learn how to find your way around.
