Unable to revert back STV (can't see xml files)

Hi

I upgraded to 6 beta and it went fine, I'd previously been using SageMC so I thought I would take a look at that. Since loading that, I don't see any XML files when I load an application, only STV files. As a result I've only got the option to switch between SageMC_169.stv and OriginalV2.stv

How do I get back the option to use the xml ones ?

Shut down sage.
Open either sage.properties or sageclient.properties if you are using the sage service.
Look a few lines down and you will see where the STV is defined. Change the .stv extension to .xml
Save the file and restart sage.

That should do it.

The old STV's that used the .stv extension cannot see or handle .xml files. You should go in and delete all of the files ending in .stv (sagetv3.stv and sagemc_169.stv) so you don't accidentally select them again. This will save you a lot of grief in the future.

I just reached a similar conclusion through a google search. I renamed SageTV3.stv to SageTV3.xml and restarted and got the old (new!) one back...

Its a little confusing though, I will delete the stv files as you've suggested
