Capture Card Stopped Producing Data?
I got this error message today and restarted the computer as the message said but this did not fix the problem. I have a PVR250 and started WinTV2000 to see if I indeed did have a picture. I did get a picture and this apparently did fix the problem with Sage but I want to know what is really the genesis of the error so that I can prevent it in the future.
After I got this problem fixed, I had another strange thing happen. On two of my recordings, Sage just changed the channel in the middle of the recording. I think these recordings were done while I was at work so I could not have accidently changed the channel. I checked the system clock and I was fine. I checked my other recording and they seem fine. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this problem. Might the two problems be related? Thanks for your help Lain |

I have no clue if it is the same or not, but I had that starting to happen to me when I was running out of Sage space (I inadvertantly copied some large files to that drive).

Hey you know what? I got that the other night too, but I have pleeeeenty of space left.
I thought it might have been something to do with my main video storage being on a firewire drive, whose bandwitch occasionally bogs down when my defrag prog kicks in. Jeff/Dan - can y'all kickstart the board somehow when that error crops up? |

Sage does try to restart the card once and see if it starts producing data again. If it doesn't, then it displays the error you see.
This usually indicates some kind of hardware/driver problem related to the capture card.
