Please, please, please, please fix like/don't like!

I've been running SageTV 5 now since it came out. On multiple occasions, it starts recording shows that I don't like - specifically Fresh Prince, Roseanne, Zoey 101, and Full House. I keep setting each show to "don't like" and deleting all of the shows without watching them, then after a week or so Sage starts recording them again.

Occasionally it'll get a "Paid programming" streak where it records paid programming crap all night long.

Can we PLEASE have a feature that says "NEVER RECORD THIS SHOW, REGARDLESS OF THE EPISODES, AGAIN"? Or some sort of wildcard search that will prevent this from occurring?

Do you have agressive negative profiling enabled? I figure you would, but doesn't hurt to ask. If my Sage attempts to record something, and I select "dont like", it will usually remove it from the recording schedule, although it did record a batch of paid programming once.

And, if you don't like the results when aggressive negative profiling is on (Detailed Setup -> Customize), try what I do... When I find a series that I don't want in the schedule, I view its past airings, then use the Don't Like command on the "Future Airings" group on the Airings History screen to mark all future episodes as Don't Like at once.

I actually don't have aggressive turned on - I'll try that. Thanks also for the suggestion of "don't like" on past airings. I'll give that a shot and see what happens. Thanks!

There is also an anti-favourites import in the customisations forum.

and an 'Intelligent suggestions' plugin so that you can use the IR engine as a suggestion for recording without actually recording it.

This plugin is also good for controlling IR with an easy 'set all don't like'...
