nVidia PureVideo version mismatch?
I tried asking this question to the nVidia support emailbox from purchase, and got some pathetically unhelpful canned response pointing me to the support website, but then after much futzing, and not being able to signup with using my email address because its already in use, yet when I try to retrieve my password with that email address the system says the account doesn't exist, then which after trying to make up a new email box and using that to signup it throws an internal error...!!!... I figure they are so confused they wouldn't be able to answer me anyways once I finally got around their stupid broken system and asked the question again... it makes me so mad when a simple system can't even be created correctly because I make systems like that for a living and it AINT hard to make it work right!
I had been trying out the Trial version of the Bronze drivers: NVIDIA_PureVideo_Decoder_Trial_1.02-196.exe I just now bought it, and the download is of: NVIDIA_PureVideo_Decoder_Retail_1.02-185.exe So, why would the trial be higher version than the retail version? Logic suggests that they should be the same? Anyone got an answer for this? |

You're probably looking in the wrong spot, they're up to 1.02-223 now.

Also, your reg code for 186 will work on 223.
Here's a link for you http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_dec...23-retail.html b |

Well, see, now they could have easily pasted me this link in a lot shorter email than the long drawn out one they gave me which contained no answers.
The store directed me to the older download link for that one I bought... I FIGURED, them being nvidia, that they would have the most up-to-date download link when you BOUGHT the thing!!! Man it so frustrates me when the root company just does stupid stuff like that. Thanks for the link guys, that file is definately newer. |
