Does it still look like the beta will be out this week?

That was a joke by Opus, he's not going to give a time for the release.

In the past I believe quite a few if not most betas were released on Friday afternoons. I can see why Sage doesn't set timelines for releases or upcoming features because everyone would drive them nuts about it.

Non Working Wireless MVP

Maybe Sage is waiting until they actually figure out why the wireless MVP doesn't work and how they need to fix their software for it......

As much as I like upgrades, it would really bite to see others (using wired MVP's) enjoy upgrades while Sage continues to sell wireless MVP's and associated software that DOES NOT WORK as advertised.

Sorry for the rant....but I spent $380 and have a system that DOES NOT WORK as described (and yes, e-mails back and forth to Sage have led to a dead end - at this time).

I feel your pain. While I do love SageTV, I spent over $200 on a wireless MVP and Extender license and it doesn't work well at all. I'm not a n00b and the wireless positioning is very reasonable. Good grief, I've got a "wired" MVP wired to a wireless bridge twice as far away through an extra floor and it works wonderful with no problems EVER. But the wireless MVP has nothing but problems (yet it works fine with BeyondTV's third-party software and the original Hauppauge software so it's not the hardware, it's Sage).

Sorry, but it turns out that a few more important issues were found during the latest round of testing, so a public release won't be coming out today. The goal is to solve any such issues that are found before releasing the beta publicly. We are still looking to release it publicly 'soon', but how soon that will be depends on the results of testing -- we don't want to put out something that has known problems for some people. Hopefully, it will be out early next week. But, as usual, there are no guarantees.
