I tried that a year ago and it didn't work for me. I wouldn't call that supporting a file type though!

I know this is a bit outside of the point for Sage, but Multizonal audio. If I could play the same song thru all my clients at once......I am currently using xlobby for that, but it basically requires me to use two servers and full clients at every set of speakers or running cables everywhere. If I could just use my sage setup to output to every MVP and full client....I would actually even add more MVP's if that was an option!

Wow! That is such a cool idea. I didn't even know xlobby could do that. Instant house party mode. I think that would be really helpful for those running this as their commercial distribution software (to be able to play all content in sync with each other with one click)

Yep and all zones are controllable by my wireless laptop from anywhere in or around my house (even my detached garage has a "zone"). Like I said, this is kind of beyond the point of Sage. Just a far off request for functionality. It is actually Sage's fault that I even found Xlobby. Due to Loving Sage, I have become such a "crack adict" for anything HTPC related that I found Xlobby. Oy.

Actually I'd say it would a big winner if zoning were added to SageTV. It would further set Sage apart from BeyondTV and MCE and make it a viable whole house AV system. That said, we could probably do with being able to play CDs first

I am right there with you brother.

I looked at xlobby a good bit but ended up going with Cinemar's Music Lobby and JRiver Media Center. JRMC will due up to ten zones and is very flexible. If sage could somehow integrate with JRMC then music would be no problem.

I would make a guess, but you would think I'm basing that on inside info...

What if you included seconds in your guess? Then it would absolutely be a guess, and not any sort of "inside information"... right??
