Help 250 and 350
I just got a PVR 350, and after many installation woes, including removal of my 250, running HWClear, and installing the PVR 350 alone, I still can't get a stable startup and shutdown of Sagetv. My current drivers are the 1.17.270.21212 on both cards. With both in the system, I can get sage to recognize that both cards exsist. I can even start livetv with the tvout working, and the software decoder disabled. I even can schedule a show.
The second I click on sleep, and try to restore or exit sage tv. Sage becomes an unresponsive program. I can't even get a menu on the little icon in the lower right corner. Once I reboot the system, I cannot get " There was an unspecified naitive null error" Please help!!!????

Ahh,
At least I know I am not crazy So fidget, do you also get an unresponsive sagetv app when you try to close it down after successfully running livetv? Either way, I can only get livetv to work once after I fiddle with resetting drivers etc. mikejaner

Only a reboot will cure my problem. I can kill SageTV (in my case, I am running the client) via the task manager, but it is still in the task list. As long as I don't do anything that will activate the hardware decoder, I can quit out of SageTV as often as I want. For now, I am using the software decoder only. I have grown use to the "soft" look of the software MPEG decoder (I don't like it, but I have gotten use to it), but I am eagerly awaiting a working hardware version.

RE
Same for me. After fiddling for a while more I narrowed it down to your symptoms. A reboot will cure the lockup, but sage will lockup the second I try to change channels, or go to sleep mode, or exit alltogether.
mikejaner UPDATE: If I reenable the software decoder, I can change channels and view recorded shows withough the interface locking up, even though I am still using the hardware decoder output. I can even exit and put sage to sleep etc... I don't know if this is redundant info, but just thought I would let you guys know
