Question FusionHDTV 5 Gold Manual Digital Cable Tuning

Recently purchased a FusionHDTV 5 Gold card and I am unable to tune in my local cable companies digital TV channels. While the FusionHDTV software can scan and watch all my available digital channels the SageTV Channel Setup cannot. The channels in FusionHDTV show up as channel D851-1 , D921-1, and so on but the channel line-up within SageTV does not reflect the same numbers. I am sure there is a way to manually add these channels to the SageTV line-up but I have been unable to figure out how to do so. If anyone has experienced the same issue or knows how to manually configure or add digital channels to the line-up any information would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Craig

QAM? Sage (or any other HTPC PVR type app...save some Linux stuff) can't tune non 5C (unencrypted) QAM channels coming over your cable line. Over The Air HD is all that is supported. It has to do with the BDA drivers, not Sage. If you want to tune QAM, you'll have to use the Fusion app/s and dump them into a Sage import folder. No live watching though, that way.

Red face

Thank you for the reply. Guess I should have researched more before purchasing. :/ I can get some OTA but our PBS tower is less than a mile away and seems to be over powering all other stations that I should be able to receive. Wish I could figure out if a trap or filter might help improve our OTA.

Regards,

Craig
