post crash wiz.bin

last night I had a massive drive failure. My entire C drive crashed and now I am left with nothing but 160GB of *.chk files. As if that wasn't bad enough, after an entire day of getting the system back up and running I discovered that I should have been backing up my wiz.bin file (which I obviously wasn't).

I think I already know the answer to this but I'm hoping there might be a workaround (please, please please!) I have all of my old recordings showing up as imported videos and I would like to have them show up as recorded TV where they belong. I thought that since the files are already in the new wiz.bin file, there might be a way to just recategorize them.

Alternatively, is there any chance that I could find my wiz.bin file in those *.chk files? What would I look for?

Thanks.

The first 4 chars are WIZ5, but you would need a special search utility, Windows file finder will not find it.

Other option is use the edit show info feature of my webserver to re-add the data for each file (slow)

thanks nielm

I did add in your web server. I never thought I needed it, but I hadn't realized how cool it was. Now I have one less reason to get off the couch. kudos. Is there something in particular that i would need to change for Sage to recognize the files as a TV show instead of an imported video? They seem to still have EPGIDs, show name, episode name. The stuff that's missing doesn't seem particularly relevant (description, category, etc).

Thanks
