Fusion 5 gold w/ sagetv 5 problems

I've been searching for hours, and can't find a solution to my problems. I've found others with my problem, but their thread never seems to end with a solution to their issue.

System:
win2k3 w/ all accelleration on and such.
Fusion 5 gold card
no other tuner cards
AMD xp2500 w/ 1.5gb ram
ATI radeon 9600

everytime i go through setup and choose Fusion Video capture, it chokes and dies.

if I downgrade to 4.1.3, i see the "Stream" option, but that just causes the app to hang too.

I'm sure there are few of you who had this issue, please post your solution. Thanks

I have Fusion 5 lite, works great in 5.02. I have a Gold RT on order, so can share experiences later this week. A couple of things, your video card may be under powered. It might also help if you spelled out which decoders you're using. I know that the Nvidia performs the best for me, and I had issues with PowerCinema, and others.

well, using the native fusiontv, the video and everything works just fine.

I previously had an old avermedia tuner card in here running sagetv 2.1

i yanked that card out, but already had Nvidia decoders and windvd decoders installed on it. I uninstalled sagetv 2, then deleted all folders related to it, and killed all frey tech registry information and reinstalled sagetv5.

it fails before i even get a chance to even goto detailed setup.

while configuring through the wizard, it already fails the moment I try to choose my tuner card as a source. Thanks.

My system occassionally crashes when playing back a FusionHDTV5-generated recording, but other than that, it is running pretty good.

I've never seen the Transport Stream option. I hesitate to downgrade to an earlier version of Sage to "find" it. Surely, there must also be some other way to get Sage to recognize the transport stream driver?

Also, if I pause a recording, I lose sound, but not video. I get it back by flipping to another recording, then flipping back.

i think it may have something to do with the sound card driver. it locks up when trying to access the sound.

I have an nforce2 motherboard and use the nforce onboard sound.

The RT is their newest board. Has some feature to allow the powering on of the PC from the remote control.

Try disabling all the DVICO crap in the systray. In fact, I don't install anything but the drivers from DVICO.

Well, this turned out to be a very good lead on the no sound problem that I was having. I updated my drivers, which turned out not to help, but told Sage to use the drivers themselves without using DirectSound. And, now, that works.

Still wish I had a Transport Stream filter option selection...

what options does sage give you when selecting your fusion card? I seem to remember sage gave me multiple options, but only one of them worked properly. And the preview after selecting an input would never work properly...

I had some minor issues installing my card yesterday, but it is working great.

I installed using drivers only, had to restart SageTV for the card to show up in list. Configured the card in Sage, had to restart SageTV for the card to work. It was giving an ERROR -12. Works great now.

Multiple Fusion HDTV 5 Gold cards/ no video.

I just bought a second Fusion HDTV 5 Gold card and installed it. Everything seemed to go fine, but my signal strength is 0%. I switched cards and I know the new card works. I just can't get tuning with my second card. Any ideas how to get it to tune?

I just bought a Fusion5 RT Gold, and and having issues with Sage and it as well. I can select as Digital TV tuner) it in the setup wizard, but Sage hangs indefinitely on trying to generate the preview.
The card woks fine with the tuner software that came with it.

Any ideas?
