Sony VAIO VGX-XL1 "Digital Living System" and Sage?

Anyone try Sage with one of the sony Media Centers ( Sony VAIO VGX-XL1 "Digital Living System")

Tigerdirect has them pretty cheap but seems like they are plauged with software problems. Biggest question is whether the DVD changer could work with Sage.

I'm very tempted on this one... but my system as been running so well hate to switch things around.

Sony XL1

I am also interested in hearing if anyone has been able to install Sagetv on the Sony XL1.

Setup I am shooting for:
Sony Vaio XL1-upgrade mem to 2gb
SageTV
SageTV HD Media Extender
VBox Cats Eye USB HDTV tuner

kpsmith - how has your XL1 been working?

Thanks!

Never ended up getting one ... but still hoping the wife heard my plea and got me one for my Birthday. I'm still pretty torn on haveing to switch to Windows Media Center. Sage has been awesome and just what I want. I also have a Media MVP that wouldn't work anymore.

I'm sure we could get Sage running on the PC but the DVD changer is just such a cool feature that makes the exercise moot if it cant work in Sage. I'm sure someone smarter than me could make it work.... but I'm not sure I'm up to the task.

I have an XL2 that I am using as a client. Not a fantastic experience. The video card is advertised as being a 6600GT but it is only a 6600. HD playback is problematic on it.
