16x9 compatible?? Loss of Options for EPG?
OK, it's bee a while, but I just downloaded and installed v5.0.2. All went smoothly...but:
How is this "16x9" compatible? It's no more so than the older 4.X version I replaced. My album covers all look STRETCHED and WIDE. How do I change this? A search of the PDF manual for 16x9 comes up with misc stiff about aspect ration and selecting source, fill 4x3 , 16x9 etc..but these dont help at all. They affect the video only, not the interface. Second..I thought we could select the number of rows and colomns as well as font size for the EPG. I can't find those controls anymore. Is the EPG "fixed" now? I checked the system info screen and it does say I'm running the new version 5. Thanks for your help. |

for 16x9 displays, you need to set the Windows desktop to a 16x9 resolution eg: 1280x720, or 858x480, so that your pixels are 'square'.
(Windows (and by extension Sage) has no idea what aspect ratio your display device is, so it assumes that the pixels are square) EPG options work fine: check that you are using the SageTV3.xml STV. The system Information (Setup/Help/System Info) should say that it is v 5.0.2.0
