Reorder and rename channels

Hi,
How can I reorder the channels in sagetv? When I choose remap channel to a different number it actually changes the channel to the one originally in the new number.
Also how can I change the name and descriptions of existing channels?

As far as I know, there is no way to rename a channel in the SageTV program guide. This is something I'd REALLY REALLY like to see offered. My WAF suffers a bit because, for example, channel 8 on our guide has a name of K15DR and we can't change it to something like FOX, channel 4 is KFFSCA and she'd like it to be UPN, and some others.

Not a solution to this particular problem, but are you using channel logos? That'll distinguish each channel.

Well, maybe someone knows how sagetv stores channel names in the configuration (not in plaintext that's for certain), so I can change it manually?

Funny that this was posted yesterday because I just started thinking about this, but for another reason. Starting in the next week or two I'll actually have both DirecTV and Digital Cable. It would be really helpful if I were able to make the channels have the same names. Example: FX on digital cable is just called FX, but on DirecTV it's called DTVFX. There will actually be a lot of channels like this. Reason I would want them to have the same name is that most of my favorites are set to record only on specific channels, I don't want to or even know if I can add a favorite twice - once per channel - even if i could I'm pretty sure it would try to record from both sources.

Another useful thing would be being able to assign channel priorities. In my listings, I have my local CBS station, another CBS station (out of market but somewhat nearby), and the HDTV version of my local CBS station.

I would like to be able to set default priority levels for these channels so that a given channel would be the default. As it is, for some reason, SageTV chooses to record the out-of-market station if I don't specify to record from one of the others. Every favorite or recording I set up, I have to specify to record from a specific channel because of this.
