MS Wireless keyboard?

Has anyone gotten, or know if it's possible, to get this keyboard to work with Sage via a UIRT? Or would I need an MCE receiver? I have a 2004 version lying around somewhere.

Hi Polypro,

I have both a UIRT and the MS Wireless keyboard. The keyboard WILL NOT work with the UIRT for mouse functionality. It 'should' work in all other ways (assuming that the UIRT can learn the codes from a normal MCE remote) but I've never tried it. I use the UIRT to control Dish recievers on the Sage server and use the MS reciever/remote and keyboard to control a Sage client.

The keyboard requires the MCE 2005 reciever to work. The firmware is different to allow the mouse to work. It also uses a 'driver rollup' to update the MS driver so 'out of the box' it won't work either. Once you have all the pieces, I think it is a really nice solution (though the mouse pointer takes some getting used to).

Thanks for the info. The "No Mouse" is a deal breaker...gotten too used to my BTC9019. I saw a post on the HIP forums about getting the mouse to work, so I'll check in there from time to time.
