FusionHDTV: Sound on LiveTV Stutters, but a Pause/Play Cycle Fixes It?

Any time we try and watch a LiveTV feed from the FusionHDTV 5 Lite (Sage 4.1.9 and 10), the sound stutters. This is running the nvDVD decoders, on an AMD 3000+ system (no other recordings going on).

If we pause it for 1 second, and then hit play, all the stuttering goes away.

Any ideas on what causes this, and any way to fix it?

I've noticed this with DVD's...my Fusion is fine. It's more of a brief pause in the audio stream than a st-st-stutter (like what occurs on some channel changes). I've always stopped and re-started the DVD, and hit goes away. It's random though, not repeatable. Since yours seems to be constant, I may be talking about a different problem. Havn't had it in .10 yet (only played two DVD's so far).

Hi,

I have (before the beta's) seen the same thing on my ATI HDTV wonder ... I just assumed that it had something to do with the time between writing the data to disk and reading it again to display it ... a longer time between these two actions for the same data seems better although I guess that doesn;t make sense.

Anyway ... it is not specific to the Fusion card

Actually, I thought the same thing, I just figured Sage would take care of that. But, it logically makes since, since an HD feed is 8GB/hour, over SD, that is set to 2GB/hour. I guess I should record some non-HD (SD) material with my fusion card, and see if the same issue occurs.
