HTPC Classified adds forum

I am trying to find a good place to buy some HTPC equipment.. Most notably PVR250 or 350. But I have not had much luck so far. I have been posting at a couple of hard ware sites but to no luck so far.

Does anyone have any good sites?

As soon as I can get this I am going to purchase Sage.

Why not just buy it from us

We offer bundles of the PVR-250 and PVR-usb2 with SageTV through our website. If you need a special bundle, just let us know (info@freytechnologies.com) and we'll quote you a price.

I agree with Dan. Their package prices beat anything I can find on the web.

I did the math
.. and yah.. even if I score one for a hundred dollars... and buy the software seperately it stil isnt a whole lot cheaper. If the CEO of the company provides this type of support how can you go wrong eh...

I jsut want to confirm that it is indeed a free upgrade to sage 1.4 to sage 2.0? If it isnt I will wait.

When buying the networking TV bundle with sage tv client. I get one license that I can install on 1 other computer besides what computer sage tv is installed correct? If so that could be a wife pleasing thing. Which in my case is a good thing.

Thanks,

Alan.

And of course.. each instance of live TV I want to view through out the network I need one pvr 250 card. So for the main HTPC live TV + wifes comp. Live TV = two pvr 250's. If I wanted to now record... and watch live tv in on both computers... = 3 pvrs :

thanks for the replies

Regards

Al

well, i don't exactly have a pvr to sell but was in the process of getting ready to purchase sage and a pvr250 but i've had to change my priorities and am now needing to sell what i have spent a couple of months putting together

any good ideas where i can advertise my htpc? i'm not a real big fan of ebay although i guess that could be a last resort.

my system is not spectacular but is solid and really only needs the pvr250 and a pioneer dvd burner to be completed.

currently it has a p4 1.6ghz chip on an asus p4b533-vm board (complete with digital 5.1 pcm output, usb2.0 and firewire) 256mb pc2100 ddr ram, very quiet seagate HDD (only 40 gigs though) toshiba cdrw/dvd-rom combo drive and an ati radeon card (with dvi and s-vid) all housed in a coolermaster atc-600 black aluminum case. all fans are from quiet pc and the system is fairly inaudible. the OS is win2k sp3 though as i'm really not much of an XP fan.

i have about 800 bucks invested in it so i suppose it would be worth around 450 used?

oh well

Go with ebay. Best bet would be to dismantle everything, put it all back in the original boxes and accessories (if you still have them) and sell it individually. Your estimate of $450 may be a little high, but they will sell on Ebay.
