Talking Feature Request: Favorites Import/Export

I would like the ability to export the Favorites list as a CSV file and import it.

Sometimes when adjusting the favorites list Sage likes to move blocks of programs rather then the single favorite and it messes up the favorites list, so it would be nice to be able to export it, make changes to change the order and then reimport it in the order I prefer.

If the built-in Favorites Manager has bugs, you should report them so they can be fixed.

That said, it would be fairly simple for someone with a moderate amount of programming skill to implement your import/export feature as an add-on.

I reported it a long time ago and never got a response, I figured it was an "undocumented feature"

I think this would be a great item to send to Sage as an official feature request... Would make it nice if you had major problems and needed to wipe your wiz.bin, you could at least recover your favorites...

for bringing into new install

Yes - this would be great. I'm in this sticky situation because my wiz.bin seems to have been corrupted, but is still mostly functional and would love to be able to bring my favorites back into a new install...

You can use nielm's webserver to export your favorites settings, and then import them into your new wiz.bin.
