Dvico FusionHDTVlite setup help
I am trying get the card setup with my Sage install (version 4.1). It is recognized by Sage and I can do a channed scan for HD channels but when I go to view any of them I get a the message attached. Dvico is the latest software download version 3.3

Have you made sure that all of the DVICO software is off? I think it might conflict if it's still on (check the system tray and task manager).

I turned off the stuff that was running in the system tray before I tried to setup the tuner card in Sage. I don't think any of these programs are fusion (attached screenshot)

I'm also having problems with ny Fusion. I just reinstalled my system and am using the latest release driver and release version of Sage and I can't get my FusionHDTV 5 Lite to work as either a regular cable tuner or OTA HD tuner. When I do a channel scan on cable, I see all the channels just fine, but when I try to use it to tune, I get an error message re: audio compression. Anyone else using the latest 3.3 drivers from DVICO? Did they add something new that has broken Sage 4.1? |

I'm getting the audio compression error on some channels, other channels just don't even show anything but a black screen. It appears that something is recording, but I'm not sure. Hitting the info button while watching live TV on one of the blank channels, shows that it is paused. Can't seem to get it to play though...

Also which renderer are you using? Overlay? or VMR? |

Actually, I think I have a bigger/different problem. I spent a couple hours reading posts related to the FusionHDTV card, and Sage, and found that there should be a "FusionHDTV Transport Stream Tuner" option during setup in sage. The only one I'm seeing is "FusionHDTV WDM Tuner" setup, which is for analog TV. Not sure why I don't get the other. I seem to be able to tune digital TS channels when using the FusionHDTV software... I don't know if it's a software thing with Sage, or an IRQ issue, or what, no one has really commented on that.

I've never seen the FusionHDTV Transport Stream Tuner option, either, but if I choose the Digital Tuner input option, it appears to work for digital channels. Haven't tried using the card for analog channels.

Prior I did have the 2 tuner options. Now I only have the one. I am getting HD content, although my CPU usage seems to be running alot higher than it used to. I am now getting slight pauses in video, etc. I don't have the full fusion package installed (never have) instead I ripped the drivers out of the installer to skip all the other software. B

Maybe the two sources has gone away with the new drivers or something. I guess I could uninstall all the Fusion software, but I would at least like the signal checker. But since my antenna seems to be pointed correctly, I could give that up, if I just installed the drivers. Wonder if I can just find the signal checker file on the CD and just install it by itself. I found the drivers...nope, doesn't look like the signal checker is a setup program all by itself...must be integrated. Well, I guess if I don't get any other ideas, I might try that, maybe the Fusion software is still somehow causing problems. When I set mine up as a "WDM Capture" source, and selected Digital TV, I just got errors inside of Sage. Maybe I just don't have something setup right in Sage, after setting that up. Did you have to change any of your video options or anything?

Ah, found the Zulu driver install exe, and the Tune Finder exe, so I'll copy those out, and uninstall everything, then just install the driver, and see what happens...

have you you tried to use this card in MyTheatre and run a second command " mtstart /card2 command ? (mtstart /card1 if you have your DVBS in the same system) and setup another MTplugin so that use your DVICO fusion card ? I am think buying this card to try. because it has 256 QAM enabled in the drivers. UNlike my A180 POS. its a great way to get all free digital channels from your cable provider. |

As for QAM tuning support, I don't think Sage currently supports QAM. When I do a channel scan it finds and displays all my analog cable stations, but it doesn't even try to tune digital. I'll do some more forum searching to confirm. |

yeah sage doesnt support 256 QAM tuning but MT does
![]() I hope sage (one year) will support it because it only a matter time before they kill all analog signals down in the states. Its just a matter of time.... |
