Looking for specific plugin features. Do they exist?

I'm getting ready to rebuild my Sage setup on a new PC, and I've been trying to build a functionality list for what I want this new setup to do. So far it looks like I will have to rely on some 3rd party software (Meedio, MediaPortal or Xlobby) to get all the functionality I am looking for. I really wish Sage supported these features, but from what I see it does not. The features I am looking for are:

- Integration with Daemon Tools. Ability to mount & play a disc and or file directly from an ISO, BIN/CUE, IMG format file. Most of the media front ends (and XBMC) can do this now. Is there a plugin for Sage?

- Basic X-10 integration. Nothing too complex, just the ability to go through devices and flip them on or of individually or universally (all on / all off). I am super lazy and enjoy watching movies in my pulled out sofa bed. Any help in my mythic quest to never get up again would be appreciated.. any plugins out there to help?

TIA

If you can do this via an external executable, or via Girder, then you can use my dynamic menu plugin to add menu items for device on/device off which runs the exe with the correct command line (or runs event.exe for Girder)...

Thanks for the suggestion

I can see doing this with the X-10, but for Daemon Tools or other ISO mounting tools it could be difficult.

I will try with a couple of X-10 apps to see if I can get command line functionality for those.

.iso playback

I have been looking for a good way to mount and play .ISO files too.

I had it working once and loved it but Cayars STV is no longer supported and as far as I know, none of the other STVs have this ability.

A side benefit of storing DVDs in .iso format is that the Sage delete command works on them. I annoys me that it won't delete DVDs stored in folder/file format. I guess Sage can only delete individual files, seems like something simple to fix if you know studio.

Here is a post on mounting/playing .iso files with an external player:

However, it seems silly this can't be done with Sage's internal DVD player. I wish someone would build an STVI (import) for this.

Don't know which x10 interface module you have, but this page has a link to an a commandline x10 program that works with the cm17a (firecracker)

Cool, thanks. With NielM's custom menu plugin, I might be able to create a couple of batch files I can link to and use as a basic set of commands.

I just added "Light On" & "Light Off" menu items via Dynamic Menus to turn on and off my X-10 lights.

I would like to control my lights with my SageTV remote control. My remote control's software sends Windows Messages to control SageTV.

Neilm, do you know how to assign a Windows Message command number to a specific Dynamic Menu Item?
