how to PROPERLY back up sage?

i want to format my computer and reinstall everything, where and what files would i need to back up to get 100% of the functionality and settings i have in sage currently? (also i'd like to avgoid "reinstalling" sage if possible... i have save 2.2.8.


i am hoping a full format will cure my sage closing for no reason every 5 minutes issue.

You can't avoid re-installing, but if you save your wiz.bin and sage.properties (sageclient.properties also if you're running the service), you'll retain all your settings and watched info.

would i be safe just saving the sage folder and irremote.ini?
the only addons i have is the zap2it canadian listings thing.

I think you can save the entire Sage Folder. Then re-install Sage on the fresh OS, and then just replace the folder...no?

Sure, just make sure that if you do that, you're installing the same version you saved, otherwise there could be a mismatch of files.
