When you say it wouldn't scroll, do you mean that you couldn't switch to the channel or up/dn had no effect?
What channel was displayed on the guide or was there no channel? Were you watching live tv or a previously recorded show?

I pressed the guide button and the first channel on my list showed up.
I could only look on the future shows on the first channel, without being able to scroll to another channel (by pressing up/down).
I was watching Live TV.
I just noticed it's working fine on recorded shows.

Just out of curosity, what channel was on the live TV? Was it the first or last channel or somewhere in the middle?
If you let the guide timeout and do it again, does it work?
I'm getting an idea of what's going on and I think I know how I want to make it more robust. But I'd still like to collect more data...

It was a channel on the middle.
It doesn't work after the timeout.

Good luck (-;

Ok, here are my findings:

on my system it has definetly nothing to do with other imports. I just completely uninstalled SageTV, installed a new vanilla 4.1.3 version, and imported the miniguide as the very first plugin.

I got the exact same behavior as before: the miniguide shows up (but on the very first channel although I am watching e.g. channel 10). Cursor left/right works, Cursor up/down does not change to the next/previous channel.

Now - I stopped live TV and started to play back a recording - and voila, the guide suddenly works ! Funny thing - when I now switch to Live TV, it still works ... But this is unfortunately not "sticky", after restarting Sage the problem reoccurs.

Also, the standard EPG does not show up, even with bindings false.

I reverted back, but am dying for a working update ...

Thanks for your work,
Dirk

Same here, except going to a recording or rewinding doesn't help for me.

Ok.. I believe I fixed the guide so that it should always scroll ok...

Also it will now go to the Program guide if you are using the arrow keys mode...and hit guide...

Please let me know if I screwed anything else up...

Awesome, it works now like a charme !

One suggestion: suppose I am watching channel 10, and surf through the guide to channel 40, but can't find anything and don't change the channel. Next time I bring up the miniguide again it starts at channel 40 and not the channel I am watching. I think it should aways start with the current channel.

Again, thanks a lot

Dirk

I could do that.. But I would have to make it customizable.. Someone would complain! I could see that I'm surfing the guide and something distracts me.. The guide timesout and disappears.. when I hit guide again and I got back to the current channel I'm watching, then I have to go through the whole guide again! If I make the change it would have to be with a custom variable...

I'll add it to the list...

Jim

Hi Jim,

I see your point, and configurable is fine. Btw, would be great if the time slot is also reset to the current time.

Thanks,
Dirk

Hi Jim,

any chance on getting an updated version with the previously discussed feature to reset channel and timeslot after the OSD timeout ? I was poking around with Studio and was able to add code to reset the channel, but I just can't figure out how to switch back to the current time ...

Would be awesome if you could get this in some time ...

Thanks for this cool add-on,

Dirk
