HTPC Hibernation

Is SageTV always recording something? If so, is there a way to make it only record what you have scheduled? I would like to use the Hibernation feature of my HTPC and am wondering if it will work with SageTV running...

Thanks,

Frank T. Lee

If you have Intelligent Recording turned on it may be recording things you don't have scheduled. If it is turned off then it will only record what you have scheduled via favorites and manual recordings. If you put Sage to sleep then it will not record the last watched channel either. Sage will not work if the PC goes into Hibernation.

mlbdude,

Thanks for the reply. If I have intelligent recording turned off and SageTV is in sleep mode, when it comes time to record something that I want recorded, won't the machine wake up?

Thanks,

Frank

Sleep mode for Sage and your PC are two different things. I think the answer to your question is no. Here is another thread that may answer it.
