Images not getting reloaded
I've just spent a couple of hours butting my head against the following Studio quirk, which I construe as a bug:
If you add a background image to a theme or to an Image widget, then display it in Sage, then go back into your image editor (Photoshop or whatever) to tweak the image some more, the revised image does not get reloaded by Sage. Not when you refresh the menu (F6), not when you reload the menu (F5), not even if you bring up the theme or widget properties and re-browse for the changed file. The old version of the file seems to be retained in memory indefinitely and used in preference to the new version on disk. The only way I've found to get the image reloaded is to exit Sage completely and restart.
This was driving me nuts because I couldn't figure out why my alpha blending looked right in Photoshop but not in Sage. I was about to conclude that Sage just doesn't support alpha blending properly when I realized I was still looking at an old version of the file. Once I restarted Sage, everything looked the way it was supposed to.
It sure would be nice if F6 would actually reload the relevant images from disk, so we can be sure we're actually seeing things the way they're meant to be.
