More than allowed maximum number of favorite recordings

I'm having a problem where my favorites are recording [seemingly] twice the number of the maximum that I set in the favorite options. Any ideas?

I've seen that before too but it has never caused me a problem. Kinda figured my computer just really liked the show. Sage should just get rid of the extras if it needs space for something it's really supposed to be doing. At least mine always has.

I've seen that happen when the schedule wasn't updated soon enough to remove the extra airings from the schedule & another show cam on right after the one that made the fav reach its limit (and someone else was reporting that their schedule wasn't updated very often, so shows airied hours apart caused it to go over the limit).

If the Fav is set to not auto delete, then all the extra shows will be kept when this happens.

You can also get more shows listed if there is more than 1 fav for the same show -- perhaps one for 1st runs & one for reruns, or favs for separate channels.

Ok...but if I want to keep 'old' episodes that I haven't seen, then I leave autodelete set to manual. So then what do I do to prevent the extra episodes?

At the moment, the extras should stop recording once the schedule is updated & it simply may not stop exactly at the specified number, depending on when it decides to update the schedule. If you have extended your scheduling look ahead time, put it back to the defalt value so the schedule can be completed more quickly.
