Studio Newbie Question

Well, I have successfully been able to change the menu text color from black to yellow in Studio ...

Now for a bigger challenge ... Mlbdude said I could "grab" his 2-Pane Recordings and Upcoming Movies screens in my old Sage Sever 2.28 and import them in to my new 4.0 server. (see below)

I had backed up my 2.28 directory before formatting and reuilding my 4.0 server. I 2.28 copied the directory over to the new system.

So how do I grab these from 2.28 and move them to 4.0??

Sage 2.28 didn't have Studio ... So how do I export these screens from Studio using Sage 4.0 and grabing from 2.28??

I'm confused and need a little help??

There shouldn't be a problem loading a v2.2 STV into v4's Studio.

This is what I did;

1. Opened Sage 4
2. Launched Studio 4
3. Opened the Sage 2.2.8 STV
4. Searched Studio for Upcoming Movies
5. Selected it
6. Then clicked File >Export Selected Menus
7. Saved as an STVi to my desktop
8. Opened My Sage 4 STV
9. Copied the UpcomingMovies.STVi to the STV folder
10. Imported it through the Detailed Setup
11. It showed up as an Internal Screen Name, so
12. I added a Menu Item for it
13. The final test, clicked the Upcoming Movies menu item ...

Well, I did com up with a the Upcoming Movies screen and di show 600+ Movies on the bottom pane list ... BUT ... when I hovered over a movie the show info did not show up on the top pane and if I clicked a movie the detail menu to allow me to record it would not appear. Another minor point is it retained the background from the old STV, but I know I can fix that in Studio.

Tried the same thing with 2 Pane Sage Recordings and got the same results??

Any thoughts???

Now comes the difficult bit -- you have to replace all the theme widgets that came with the imported STV with their equivalents from the standard STV ... They should all be in the THEME ORGANISER menu...

So far I have only successfully tweaked a few minor things in Studio, but not sure I have the courage to takle this just yet.

Has anyone come up with or considered coming up with an Upcomming Movies Plugin for Sage4 ??

I am sure for some of you this would be east to do ...

I was very suprised (and HAPPY) to see that jbuszkie brought back the MiniGuide ... maybe someone can revive Upcomming Movies!!
