Where is the EPG channels data.

hello friends,

In Israel its is not regulated as in other countries with the epg.
so members who use the sage in Israel wrote epg program themselves.
the question is, instead of each member to download epg and then to edit the channels number correctly in sage (usually one time action).
can someone please direct me where the data is stored in sage, so that once I'll do it, i can upload the file (or part of it) and other users can just download it (or copy it) and use it on their sage instead of each member to go through all the long list of channels?
thank you.

The data is stored in Wiz.bin along with all your favorites, recorded file info, viewing history etc... If you transfer that then you will probably lose info about Sage recordings.

However, as you must you xmltv or something similar, won't your EPG data be in epgdata.xml?

They will have to do some first-time configuration, (possibly including remapping channels) but after that, like you, they just regularly replace the epgdata.xml file to gate updated EPG data.

I dont know how well copyright law is imposed with you, but most TV web-sites' terms and conditions only allow the information to be used for personal use and expressly forbid redistribution...

This is why the XMLTV project consists of a set of web-site-grabbers for each user to download the data themselves rather than serving XMLTV files directly.

if you download version 3 of my xmltv grabber it includes a grabber for isreali listings, at the moment it only downloads the program names but if there is any interest then i can expand it to download more details see http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv
