DVD decoder

Hi,

I'm using SageTV for a while now but I can't get the DVD player stable. Sometimes it works, sometime not... I'm using PowerDVD5.
Can you please tell me wich one you use and how (Overlay or VMR9...)

Thanks for your help.

Ferdinand

I just checked my settings as I used to have quite some problems also: DVD is overlay, 3d acceleration is on, full screen exclusive is off, I thought overlay color keying was off but it's on. I use the Sonic dvddecoder pack on an Epia SP 1,3 Ghz board.

Reason I thought why I had overlay colorkeying off is because the dvd menu is not transparant.

Maybe if you list some more hardware specs you will get some more helpful results.

Good luck,
Jan

with powerdvd 5 you HAVE to use overlay. powerdvd 5 wasn't designed to use vmr9. if you had powerdvd 6, you can use either then.

as mentioned above though:

use overlay, dxva mode C, 3d acceleration on, full screen exclusive off.

set it that way for both video and dvd playback options.
