Disk space bar accuracy with HDTV files?
Is the disk space bar accurate when it comes to HDTV? I think It's using the default quality to calculate the space for upcoming shows.
Is there an easy way to fix this? Recording quality doesn't really come into play when we are talking about recodring a digitial broadcast, right? Should I create a dummy quality setting for HD (what is it.. 9GB/hr?) for the HD encoder?? Any other thoughts? Jim |

I asked this question earlier and did not get an answer. I was thinking along the same lines as you. If it looks at the record quality for the source, I would think that this would work.

If anyone wants to look at how this is calculated, search for: "nielm/diskbar_update_min_interval_secs" and you will find the widget tree responsible...

It looks like this will have to take more thought...
It seems like the widget will have to be modified as well to take into account encoder quality... Bummer.. Not an easy solution... Ok.. but with just the HD encoder.. I should be able to just change the default quality to a dummy one I create. but... How do I create the dummy quality?? For the happauge cards a line like this mmc/python2_encoding/MyDVD=videobitrate=4500000|width=720|height=480|audiobitrate=224|vbr=1|peakvideobitrate=6000000 Was added... How do I add a dummy one for the HDCARD? Jim |

Disk Space
How can I fix the disk space indicator. All I record is HD and it seems to be using the "record quality" setting that does not even apply to HD. I like this feature, but it is never correct.
Thanks, Chad * post merged w/above thread * |
