Not at present (I have the same issue)... Not sure how I would do this though... (probably in the C++ code)

At the moment, I am supressing them with the Mk 1 eyeball!

I only see it once. I'd say remove it from your startup, reboot, and see if its still there twice. It may just be starting automatically using one of the hidden start areas.

Check out my attachment ... VERY strange ....

Any suggestions ...

T.

OH ... Yea ... I already tried removing from the Starup Folder and rebooting, but then nothing loads and the CPU & Mobo Monitor errors out whith SpeedFan selected. So, for me it's with nothing or two???

To answer your question:

Common startup is the startup folder that is common to every user on your computer. Startup is the startup folder that is specific to you. If you remove it from startup but leave it in common startup, you should be fine.

Any way to get the temps to show in Fahrenheit instead of Celcius. I am using SpeedFan and have it set to Fahrenheit however I am guessing that SpeedFan just sends the Celcius temp. Yes I am a silly American who like Fahrenheit, hell I have an Engineering Degree and only find Celcius useful when doing math on temp.

Question Temps Too Hot or Not ???

Any temp geeks out there??

I've buttoned up my new server case ant the temps have risen. Wondering if heat is causing HW malfunctions and locking up the system ...

Can anyone provide Temp thresholds for ...

Case?
CPU?
HD?
etc?

My HD's moved from the low 40's to the high 50's? See Attached JPG

What are the "above here is bad" recommendations?

Thanks, T.

This is different for everyone, im sure; but heres what I like to keep my specs to:

HDD's = under 40c. Normal range is <32c via vortec HD coolers. 55c is max temp for WD HDD's

CPU = 40-60c. Normal range is 49c. There is a big difference in range between AMD or Intel. I believe that intel's range is still around 65c? Amd's, you can fry an egg on...

Case - This is where I put my best cooling effort. Try to get your case as close to ambient temperature as possible.Obviously, you will never get it room temperature, but you will notice your components MUCH cooler if you can keep a good flow of air in and out of your case.

I.

It looks to me you do need more aire circulation in your case, especially around where your HDs. To ensure better airflow, I mount all of my HDs in 5 1/4" slots with addapters and if mounting in 3 1/2" slots I skip a slot between HDs. I also modified my servier with by cutting holes to mount 120mm silenx fans in the bottom front and upper back. When I modify a case I make sure any area around the P.S is blowing air out of the case, fans I install anywhere else suck air in.

I'd fix the start up probelem by deleting every instance of speedfan in startup folders, etc...and then downloading Startup CPL by Mike Lin. Install that (great tool) and create a start item for speedfan under HKLM/Run.

Are there any temperature monitoring programs that do not require to be in memory? Preferably a command line app? I like the idea of checking the internal temperature of my PC; but I dont like the idea of wasting CPU cycles with consistent monitoring.

I have the same problem. I tried Speedfan 4.27 and 4.28. SageTV crashes with both.

Ver 1.1 works fine

Did you by chance get the opportunity to see why 1.2 and speedfan causes a SageTV crash and fix that problem with the new version? Or is it a SageTV/Speedfan issue? As you may have guessed from this I have the same problem as ychoe and Neo and had to revert back to 1.1.
