Question Recordings Sort Order Observation

Am I all wet?

My "SageTV Recordings" is set for Catagory and Newest Fist (See attachement "Sort by Newest")

(See attached screen shots for the following(

The first Catagory; Drama shows 7th Heaven on top which recorded on 11/21 @ 8pm

The second Catagory; Home Improvement shows Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on top which recorded on 11/20 @ 8pm

The third Catagory; House/garden shows Gardening by the Yard on top which recorded on 11/20 @ 11:30am

The fourth Catagory; Movie shows The Paper Chase on top which recorded on 11/21 @ 4:45am

Shouldn't the Movie Catagory be number two in the list since it had a newer recording???

Thanks, T.

You might notice that the list on the left is in alphabetical order, while the recordings on the right are to be sorted by your "Sort by" selection. That's how this custom screen works.

As I mentioned elsewhere, anyone who uses this screen should feel free to fix anything they think doesn't work correctly/optimally.

OK ... thanks Andy ... I have used this two pane SageTV Recordings since 2.0.20 (nielm and mlbdude STV's) and it acted differently ... In addition to sorting shows in each catagory by newest first, it always used to sort the catagory itself based upon what was recorded last. This was good because you always new the latest sutff was up on top ... Guess I kinda got used to it ... Now I would have to look at each catagory to see what was recently recorded.

Just one more thing I will have to figure out have to change ...

T.

Anyone can also grab the last mlbdude 2-pane view and import it. It does not have any of these bugs and everything worked great with it.

Cool ... Now all I need to know is where to grab it from and how to import it. There's not an STVi for it, is there??

Hmmm ... I am still using MlbDude2 1.87 on my 2.0.20 server and it's worked great ... So are you saying that I can just install MlbDude stv just as I have in 2.0 on to 4.0??

I so ... what about the modifications I made to "My SageTV3.stv" file and the customizations I have already implemented? Won't replacing it with this stv romove what I have done since it is not a 4.0 import module plug-in??

Thanks, T.

Open the old STV in Studio, export the menu. Then import it into the new STV using Studio. Now you will have to clean up all the themes and links to other menu's - like when jumping to Program Info on a show.
